Teacher's Enrichment Programme

A two day ‘Teacher Enrichment Programme’ (Me Time) was conducted for the Teachers of The Yenepoya School on the 23rd and 24th of September, 2021. The programme was conducted by Catholic Association of South Kanara (CASK), headed by Mrs. Patsy Lobo, Coordinator and Vice President of CASK.

Mrs. Patsy Lobo kick started the programme on day 1, with a talk on Collective Mindfulness and highlighted the importance of the concept, referring the Japanese book, ‘IKIGAI - The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life’. The second session featured effective communication, problem Solving and public speaking which were taken up by Mrs. Vidya Shenoy. The last session for day 1 was presented by Dr. Anand Pereira who spoke about biodiversity and the importance of preserving & educating students on the importance of the natural habitat.

On day 2 of the programme, the session began with self meditation facilitated by Mrs. Patsy Lobo, followed by a talk on Education and NEP 2020 by Dr. Derek Lobo. Mrs. Usha Rao then spoke on the subject of suicide prevention which included topics on how to identify a potential threat to one’s life. The last session was taken up by Mr. Archie Menezes who spoke on the topic - Personal financial banking and highlighted means of saving and investing money.

The teachers enjoyed the enriching programme as it was interactive and resourceful, including activities and discussions. Every participant was presented with a file, Sash and a memento. The programmed concluded with a fun parade which ended up with a dance session. The Principal of The Yenepoya School, Mrs. Grace Noronha thanked the CASK team and Mrs. Mishria Javeed, the campus Director presented Capt.
