Investiture is a ceremony in which someone is given an official rank, authority, power, etc…
The Yenepoya School and Pre University College held its Investiture ceremony on the 20th of August, 2022 at the Yendurance Zone, Deralakatte.
The programme kick started with a grand welcome to the chief guest Captain Ganesh Karnik, given by the guard of honour led by Gaurav Kumar Nayak. Ms. Aysha Hadia of Grade 11 of the Yenepoya School welcomed the gathering followed by Fathima Sheikh of 1st PUC Science who stressed on the importance of the day.
The newly elected cabinet marched on stage in a parade led by The Yenepoya School band followed by Gaurav Kumar Nayak and Ibrahim Anas. The newly elected cabinet members were introduced on stage by Rumais Hussain of Grade 9 after which the Chief guest, Captain Ganesh Karnik endowed sache’s and badges on each of them. Captain Ganesh Karnik was accompanied by Mrs. Mishria Javeed, Campus Director and Mr. Uzwal Menezes, Principal on stage.
The class representatives and the assistants of the PU College were also given a Sache and a badge by Mr. Melwin Felix, Dean of Commerce, Mr. Purushothama K, Dean of science along with Mrs. Seema M K, Incharge of competitive coaching classes, & Mrs. Nidhi S, Student Welfare Officer of Yenepoya PU College in honour of their posts. The President, Head boy, Head Girl & Secretary of the cabinet of 2022-23 then led the oath followed by the other cabinet members.
The audience then witnessed the handing over of the school flag by Gaurav Kumar Nayak to the Head boy Mohammed Adaan Hamad and Head Girl Adhithi Gatty of 22-23, The Yenepoya school, followed by Ibrahim Anas handing over the flag to the President, Mohammed Aqeel and Ayesha Zuha, secretary of Yenepoya PU College. The students and staff of The Yenepoya School presented a motivational leadership song to the gathering led by Mr. Stalin Dsouza, music teacher on the keyboard.
Post the formal Investiture ceremony, the former Head Girls of The Yenepoya School Amna Javed of batch 2020-2021 and Anshu Mariam of batch 2019 – 2020 shared their experience with the gathering followed by the Chief guest addressing the students with great enthusiasm and interacted with the crowd. The cheif guest stressed on the importance of education which influences the minds in a posivite way and encouraged our students to do well and strive in the future.
The Principal, Mr. Uzwal Menezes delivered his message by wishing the students well and guiding them on having a successful year.
The elected cabinet was invited on stage for a photo session with the chief guest, Campus Director and Principal followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Aashna Sharmi of 1st PUC Science.
The grandeur of the event was enhanced by the presence of the parents of the newly elected cabinet of 2022-23. The programme concluded with the National Anthem and was hosted by Ananya Prasad of 1st PUC.
