THE LIBRARY FEST 2010-11

As in the year 2009, The Yenepoya School went a step further in its endeavour to inculcate the habit of reading amongst youngsters by hosting The Library Fest – 2011 in collaboration with Prism Books, Bangalore.
The fest was inaugurated by Professor Bhandi, Librarian, Mangalore University and K Vamana, Editor, Athmashakti Magazine. Mr. Soma from Columbia University, who was one of the guests at the inaugural function inspired the audience with his words on the importance of right education. Mr Farhaad Yenepoya, MD, TYS, reiterated the school’s commitment to encourage the young to become life-long learners. The Principal, Dr C K Manjunath, presided over the function.
The library fest was spread over 2 days with an exhibition of books and number of activities like essay writing, dumb charades, pick and speak, etc. for the students and parents. Representatives from Hoopla Club, Bangalore conducted some of these activities.
