JnanaVruksha - The Bio -Diversity Quiz

The tree which symbolizes The Yenepoya School came to its full glory this year as Jnana Vruksha …the tree of knowledge. The hosting of the Inter school Bio-diversity Quiz was a unique event for us as it was the blossoming of the school’s initiative to reach out to thousands of young minds. The whole idea of the quiz was to propel these minds to think about the challenges faced by Mother Earth and its consequence on our future. If we were able to kindle the awareness in even one child we feel our mission was accomplished as a mind awakened will never be at peace…..the seeds planted today will definitely take the shape of another giant tree in the days to come.

The Quiz took shape in three stages. The first round of the quiz saw the participation of more than 3000 children studying in various schools across Mangalore city. The best four performers from the first round went on to the second stage of the quiz. 240 children appeared for this round in pairs. The best six teams from this round qualified for the grand finale which was held at the magnificent settings of Summer Sands Beach, Ullal. It was an evening to remember with the audience spell-bound by the quizzing skills of eminent Quiz master Mr. N Someswara.
